WHITE HOUSES

WHITE HOUSES

“Houses occupy a privileged place in architecture because they are a fundamental type of shelter that we architects design. For this reason, both professionals and the public are constantly seduced by new concepts concerning the single house. They exert a very strong influence on architecture which has a powerful cultural value and which historically has represented its main instrument of change.
The house is also a sign of belonging to a place and its history, often a manifestation of an identity. Through its forms, the house therefore, expresses cultural and social values: it is a symbol of status, dignity and sometimes transgression: it is an expression of aesthetic research and beauty.
A single house is the house of man par excellence: in it the deepest meanings of living find the clearest and most convincing expressions.
Thinking about a house means confronting the earth, with memory, with man. In addition to the technical content, building means exploring and interpreting the values of your own society and time. The houses presented in this publication are the result of an intense investigation, in which architecture - from the greatest gesture to the smallest detail - aspires to be the bearer of these values."
