WHITE HOUSE - ALDESAGO - LUGANO
The "LUGANO WHITE HOUSE" in Aldesago is a project that began as a large single-family villa of about 1200 square meters which is transformed during construction into a multi-family house with 4 apartments and a single villa.
The lay of the land, steeply sloping, welcomes the project of the residence inspired by the important villas of the lakes.
The main structure, placed in the center of the background, is parallel to the contour lines and acts as the organizational fulcrum of the entire area.
Completely white, the White House acquires this characteristic through
the use of a cladding in white split facing bricks with a thickness of 7
cm of Leca Sistemi. It is a concrete brick with Carrara marble dust.
The sinuosity of the different volumes that make up the residence allows for a harmonious insertion into the territorial context despite the significant size of the building.
The project consists of 3 main volumes:
The first in the center in the shape of an eye where the 4 apartments are located
The second at the entrance where the independent single villa is located
The third where the stands and technical rooms are located.
The central body is divided into several housing units as shown below; to the
center a large triple-height circular staircase and a panoramic glass lift ensure vertical distribution.

At Level zero: we find the main entrance to both the villa and the apartments.
with two arranged 4/½ duplexes.
On Level -1: The sleeping area of the duplexes is located
On Level -2: we find a single large apartment of 5/½, which develops over the entire floor; in the centre, the living area which overlooks the triangular terrace
The body of the terrace recalls the shape of a spur projected towards the splendid view of the lake and the mountains.
On Level -3 : there is a single 4/½ apartment whose living room extends towards the lake below the terrace on level -2. With a large central swimming pool with an infinity edge, giving the impression that the water flows directly into the lake.
